Our school has been approved as the Key Laboratory of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance culture and Tourism Ministry
In order to promote the inheritance and innovative development of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage technology, and promote the development of food culture and tourism industry, the Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage technology inheritance laboratory led by the school of tourism and cuisine of our university was officially approved as the third batch of key laboratories of the Ministry of culture and tourism. Among the 18 approved units, there are Fudan University, Sun Yat sen University, China University of science and technology and other universities and key laboratories of culture and tourism system. Our university is the first approved Key Laboratory of the Ministry of culture and tourism in Jiangsu Province.
The Key Laboratory of Chinese food intangible cultural heritage, culture and tourism ministry is a new scientific research and innovation platform supported by the humanities and Social Sciences Department, science and Technology Department, laboratory and equipment management department under the background of our school's vigorous development of new arts and new engineering. It is also an important breakthrough in the construction of the Key Laboratory of liberal arts at the beginning of the 14th five year plan. The laboratory system integrates the resources and advantages of our school's cooking and nutrition, food science and engineering, tourism management, artificial intelligence and other disciplines and specialties to form a modern and comprehensive laboratory based on interdisciplinary and driven by characteristic development. The approval of the Key Laboratory of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage technology inheritance and culture and Tourism Ministry indicates that the relevant research with the characteristics of Chinese intangible cultural heritage has formed significant discipline characteristics and good social influence.
The laboratory research work serves the requirements of the rejuvenation and development of Chinese excellent traditional culture, and deeply studies the technology and application of scientific inheritance and creative transformation of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. Focusing on the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage and the development and application of innovative technology of Chinese food, and devoting to the inheritance and promotion of Chinese food culture system, is not only an important task for the rejuvenation and prosperity of excellent traditional culture in the new era, but also provides reference and inspiration for the high-quality integrated development of current culture and tourism. The laboratory takes Huaiyang Catering Technology inheritance research as the main position, integrates the catering culture and technology schools of other regions in China, and forms the research system of Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance technology of Chinese food from point to area.
Professor Zhou Xiaoyan, President of our institute, is the director of the laboratory, and Professor Wu Bihu, School of city and environment, Peking University, is the director of the academic committee, which brings together experts and scholars in the fields of food culture, modern cooking technology, food science and engineering, artificial intelligence, etc.
